We named this blog after the two states we mainly lived in, Hawaii where Casey lived for 10 years, where Benil grew up at and where Elliana was born. Texas our current home state, and where our second child, Levi was born. This will follow slight glimpse of our daily life, our hobbies and obsessions and highlight aspects of Elliana and Levi's life as they grows We hope for this to serve as an electronic journal when our kids are older.

We had a huge brush fire this week, the same time L.A. had their wild fires. The scene was cool, the helicopters were using my neighborhood baseball field as a water pickup area. at first they used two helicopters, then three. the fire forced the police to shut down H-2 one of 3 highways here. The helicopters did this for about 4 hours, I was out there for only 20 minutes. At one point i was only about 4o yards away from the helicopter. It was a great way to waste some time during the day, and try out my new camera. The whole thing created a big scene as you could imagine. all this was happening right in the middle of the neighborhoods around here.
